Coaches - Field schedule has been update, only River Valley Minors is not posted. It is expected Tuesday after Memorial Day. Please review for your team's home games, look for conflicts and let me know if I should make a change.

KEYS: Becky Weiers is handing out ONE key per team for the snack stand. The key for the dugout storage room is in the snack stand money drawer.

HATS: Hats are in. There are plenty of hats at each size. They will cost $15 each. We need money at the time of the "hat delivery".

CONCESSION STAND: Remember, once the schedule comes out you are responsible for finding two people to work in the concession stand for home games. I will get seed money to you before your first game. The concession stand
will be stocked.

UMPIRES: Patti Molitor will schedule umpires for all home games at the Midget or Pee Wee level. If you know anyone in high school wanting to umpire please send them to MYAS.org. They host umpire clinics that are fantastic. I believe the next one is in Eden Prairie on May 8. It costs $20.00. I will not hire an umpire unless they have completed some type of training.

WEBSITE: We do have a website for our ball club. Mike has spent HOURS and HOURS on it, are my cabinets hung, no, oops sorry I digressed. Anyway, the website is www.stbenedictsaints.org You will find a field calendar along
with other useful information.

Schedules: I'm not sure I will receive the game schedule, I'm not sure who is doing the schedule, please make sure to send me a copy asap so we can check for field conflicts and get it on the website.

Coaches,

Invite your players to complete a membership registration on the Registration Page of the stbenedictsaints.org web-site. They also need to write a check for $50. payable to St. Benedict Ball Club that will be returned to you. This form will build replies into a spreadsheet at doc.stbenedictsaints.org that we can all view and edit. All St. Benedict players will be in this one sheet but we will not have to type any of the player contact information ourshelves.

More details about working with the registration replies will follow soon.

I. Introduce Tom Wetschka – New Prague High School head baseball coach

II. Go over levels of play available at St. Benedict, age requirement, who they play against, game days.

a. Midgets

· Completed 3^rd-5^th grade

· Number of kids per team

· DRS teams

· Tuesday night games, occasional Sat. morning games, tournament 3^rd weekend July

b. Pee Wees

· Completed 6^th and 7^th grade

· Number of kids per team

· DRS teams

· Monday night games, tournament usually 4^th weekend of July

c. Minors

· Completed 8^th grade, will bring up some 7^th graders if short players

· Number of kids per team

· Jordan, St. Peter, Le Sueur, Belle Plaine, AGI, GFW plus few more

· Begin after school is out, usually T, W, Th 2-3 games/week about 6 week schedule

d. Majors

· Completed 9^th grade, will bring up some 7^th graders if short players

· Number of kids per team

· Similar to Minor competition

· Similar to Minor schedule

e. 16U

· Completed 10^th grade, birthday can become an issue during tournament play.

· Number of kids per team

· West Metro area schools

· Similar to Minor/Major schedule

Despite what it looks like outside, spring and baseball are right around the corner. My New Year's resolutions include becoming more organized and learning to delegate. You are receiving this email because you have in the past coached. I would like to get an idea of who is planning on returning to coach this season. I would also like to have a meeting to discuss the season and answer any questions coaches might have and to yes delegate if possible. I have scheduled a meeting for:

Tuesday March 9 at 8:00pm at the Classic Bar and Grill

Please let me know if you are planning on:

Coaching again this season and will attend the meeting
Coaching again this season but cannot attend the meeting
Not planning on coaching this season

I know I am missing emails for some coaches from last year so please pass the word to those that I missed. Remember we have teams for kids from third grade all the way through 11th grade. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me. Thanks.
