St. Benedict Saints of the D-R-S League
St. Benedict has been playing baseball since 1937. The original ball park was in the field behind the church, the site moved to the current location in 1949 and join the newly form D-R-S league. More information about the St. Benedict Saints and Minnesota Baseball Association web-site.
Town & Country League
The Town & Country league play many of the same sites as the D-R-S league in addition include Le Seuer. The league winning 1954 T&C team when on to form the core of the Saints team that were pennant winners from 1956 to 1959.
Players on the Town and Country team are 11th grade or younger. This league plays Sunday morning starting in later April until Mid-June.
South Suburban League
This league plays a junior legion schedule with as many as three games a week (mostly Tuesday through Thursdays) from the end of school to Mid-July. Players can be 10th graders, sixteen or younger. Teams in the league include New Prague, Bloomington, Minnetonka to name a few.
River Valley Majors and Minors League
The River Valley league is traditionally organized of clubs from Jordan to St. Peter and from Morristown to Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop. The Major are for player in the 8th or 9th grade. The minors are players in 7th or 8th grade. The River Valley league starts after school is out and continues into July. A league play-off is included after the season.
Pee Wee D-R-S League
The Pee Wee D-R-S league is for player though 7th grade. The league has a shorter baseline and distance to the pitchers plate. Teams in the league include most the of traditional D-R-S sites and include Faribault. The league games are played on Monday evenings from May and to the league championship tournament on a Saturday in late July.
Midget League
The Midget league is for player in third, forth and fifth grade. The league uses shorter bases and is player pitch from a shorter distance to the pitcher plate. A reduce flight baseball is used to reduce risk of injury. The league plays in many of the same towns that host D-R-S teams. The games are played Tuesdays and some Saturdays from May to Mid-July league championship Tournament.
